Quantifying Fandom

Presented to faculty and colleagues on August 7, 2026 at NYU London.

I ask the question whether women’s sports franchises are systemically undervalued by traditional valuation methods. In response, I present my Fan Attachment Scoring model, which quantifies the strength and durability of a team’s fanbase. The Fan Attachment Score is applied to three WNBA expansion franchises, with projections and an operational roadmap for Philadelphia’s 2030 team.
